Mijas Pueblo

Mijas Pueblo is located in the Andalusian mountains of southern Spain, around 25km from Málaga downtown.

I found very interesting its long and varied history of conquests and cultural exchanges that reflects, amongst other things, in its architectural styles. The town was first settled by the indigenous Iberians, and later by Greeks, Phoenicians, and Romans.

Nowadays, the town’s historical architecture is a combination of Moorish and Spanish influences that have endured over time.

Its architectural styles not only demonstrate the historical significance of the area, but also showcases the harmonious blend of diverse cultures and traditions that reflect the resilience and adaptability of its community.
