
Saw this perico around the corner the other day. It was unexpected to see these colors under its wings.
They tend to be in groups or couples, but this one was lonely.
Roble sabana trees are the last to bloom before the rain starts. In January, it’s the Poró trees with their vibrant orange, then in mid-February, Corteza Amarilla trees continue, and finally, in March, you can see a Roble sabana here and there, blooming with pinkish flowers.
You’ll typically see pericos traveling in an east-west direction, I’ve never seen them flying north-south. A few blocks from this place, there are two huge palmeras on a business center where dozens of pericos arrive before sunset, to spend the night.
