Independence Day parade

Last Monday, Sep 15th, we celebrated our Independence Day.

People from all over the country gather in the streets to watch students march with their school band. Everyone dresses in red, blue, and white, and this year I even saw dogs wearing chonetes with the Costa Rican flag.

Despite being in the late rainy season, there was good weather, at least in San Pedro, where the parade my family and I attended took place.

Here’s my daughter Fiorella, happy and proud because her school was passing by:

By the way, her fear of thunderstorms has improved considerably over the past few weeks. However, that day she wanted to wear her earmuffs (and her Kuromi purple shirt)
