Hero Quest

We hadn’t played any board game lately, but last Saturday, during our monthly friend gathering (I won’t say what we call it), we played Hero Quest.

I’m not a big fan of Dungeons & Dragons and similar role-playing games, but this one, while it has a background story for the mission, also has limited actions that each player can make in a strict order. So it’s pretty much rolling the dice, opening doors, looting, and killing monsters.

I had previously played as a Wizard, but this time I went with the Elf, which ended up being a good choice. After a few hours, we accomplished the mission, and I even won a craft for the next round.

As usual, whisky was the preferred drink at the table, but I went all night with my favorite new drink, vermouth. And the food we picked was also delicious, Korean BBQ chicken from a place nearby.

It was a good night.
